Kitchen Remodel
From Dated to Timeless
This kitchen had been untouched since the early 2000s. Dated cabinet doors, tired countertops, basic flooring, and no real focal point. The homeowners wanted something warm and contemporary that felt intentional rather than builder-grade. That is exactly what we built.
The two-tone cabinet design was central to the whole project. White uppers keep the space feeling open and bright while the natural wood lowers bring warmth and ground the room. Full-height cabinetry runs all the way to the ceiling, eliminating the dead space above the cabinets that collects dust and makes kitchens feel shorter than they are.
The custom slat hood feature wall is the statement piece. Rather than a standard hood box, we built a slatted wood panel surround that draws the eye up and ties the natural wood tones from the lower cabinets into a cohesive design element. It reads as custom built, not installed.
Quartz countertops with clean straight edges run across the full perimeter and the backsplash wraps the entire kitchen, tying everything together. Large format tile flooring replaces the original flooring and makes the kitchen feel larger than it is. Under-cabinet lighting finishes the space and makes it as functional to cook in as it is good-looking.
